My Top 5 Drugstore Mascaras

I was clearing through my makeup drawers earlier, throwing away the two year old, dried out mascaras and the... lets say dodgy foundations and realised that I have five mascaras that get used the most often. These five are all available in Superdrug or Boots and won't break the bank, especially if you are on a student budget like me.

The Line Up

This is one of my current favourites, I generally wear this if I am going for a natural or barley there look because it gives your lashes a small coating which separates and lengthens them but it isn't too dramatic or clumpy.

Maybelline Lash Sensational (Intense Black) - £7.99

This mascara is probably one of the most hyped about in the blogging industry from the last year, and I am completely on board with that hype. I noticed with this mascara that you definitely have to leave it for a few days after opening to use as it can be too clumpy when new, but after that you will be left with lovely long and thick lashes, it definitely has that false lash effect.

NYC Big Bold 24 Hour - (couldn't find a link)

This mascara I bought on a whim, in need of something thickening and dramatic but at the time didn't have much money to spend I picked this one up and it worked wonders for me. It is very thickening and has a false lash effect similar to the lash sensational but isn't quite as lengthening and dramatic, so is more suitable for a daytime look.

This mascara is one I can recognise from when I was younger, the packaging of pink and green hasn't changed but they have added to the collection with new colours and formula's. After having seen this a lot growing up I finally bought it about 6 months ago and was definitely pleased, it is a great thickening mascara that offers some lift and curl, I generally wear this in the daytime as it isn't as dramatic as I generally like for the evenings.

I was gifted this mascara last Christmas and it quickly became my holy grail, me and my two best friends all wear it and all are absolutely head over heels in love with it, let me tell you why. This is the most dramatic, lengthening and beautiful mascara that I have ever used, it separates the lashes and gives them a lift creating stunning separated, false lash styles lashes. I team this with the lash sensation for a more dramatic evening look. You need to try it!

So there you have it, my top five under £10 mascaras! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know any of your favourite drugstore mascaras in the comments.
